We're off to St. Grevais on Thursday and I'm just starting to do some research on route ideas. Bit late but I've only just got back from doing the Maratona in the Dolomites... 8)
Anyway, I've got the Diamant Vert VTT stuff, which looks fine, and links up St. Gervais to Megeve but I'd appreciate ideas/maps for any good routes linking St. Gervais to Les Houches, and maybe beyond.
I'm going with the missus so good, non-mental singletrack is the order of the day. We want to stick to to uplift stuff mainly.
We'll check out the tourist info/LBS in St. Gervais when we arrive but any personal stuff would be great. Ta.
Hello reggie, you can take your bike on the 1st and last tramway de mont blanc, go up to col de voza, take a map with you, find a trail down to les houches, then back up prarion lift, or, you could then ride to chamonix, about 5k, and use the plan praz\ brevent lift, and look for a trail that takes you to les praz, near the flegere lift, then up that, then to argentierre, lift up, then down to lavencher, train back to les houches, up prarion and down to saint gervais, via thermal park. I did this the other way round last week, easily doable in a day.
