The next round of the VW Cup is at Spa in Belgium. We have a fair bit of down time so was planning on taking the bike. We are staying at some chalets in Malmedy

Just wondered if any of our Belgium friends know the area and if there are any decent riding. There will be 2 or 3 of us and Im not too sure of their abilities so really looking for maybe waymarked trails/cycle routes. Any pointers would be much appreciated. If there are any decent off piste stuff I maybe interested as I can get some solo rides in aswell.

Hiya - good luck with it! I've put up a Thirimont ride on my blog which I found fun. To be honest just buy a 7 euro VTT map from the local tourist office - most of the trails are way marked - but be careful as often they are way marked one way only. Good cycling to be had around Spa / Malmedy etc.. Dusk is interesting as in those valleys it gets dark quickly. Look out for local events, not to do [160km!] as they will leave handy trail markers also.
