Were all going up this weekend, did borrowdale bash last
time which I loved, like them kind of downs.
Now I'm thinking either a variation of borrowdale bash again?and need something to do the day after around that area of Keswick with a similar style of them downhills and climbs..,rocky techy yes :0)
Whinlatter. ๐
OK, proper trails. Have you done the Skiddaw Loop? Keswick, go N, through Dodd Woods, turn R and go up the brutal climb past Whitewater Dash Falls and on to Skiddaw House YH. Carry on past that, go straight on and after some undulations you come to the big rock slabs of Latrigg Fell with the rather large penalty for failure on the left...
Into the car park at the base of Skiddaw then there's a choice of 2 nice DH's back to Keswick.
Can also start in Keswick, go E along the old railway track to Threlkeld then up the Blencathra climb, round the valley to the YH and turn R down to Mungrisdale, circle round and pick up the Whitewater Dash climb from the other side if you want to extend the loop.
Shame that most of the stuff over Derwent Fells way is FP, you need to go to Buttermere to get the techy bridleways like Scarth Gap.
Hmm yeah think did I did skidaw yeah but only up n down it,that sounds like a good un ure on about,
could try mix up borrowdale bash somehow?
Yeah, can do it as a figure of 8 if you're prepared for a long day out!

Or turn left at Skiddaw House, follow the Cumbria Way to Mosedale, turn left and make a loop through Calebreck, Fell Side, and Longlands.
It think it's in the book as "Back of Skiddaw".
cheers for the replys...
