Hi All,

I think I already know the answer to the question I'm going to ask but over the yr's with changing bikes, upgrading brakes and having one stolen, I've never actually bought and fitted a new rotor because its worn out. I also know its subjective to how much you ride and brake.

Anyhow, the pads are showing a twin grooved like pattern, which I've not noticed before when changing the pads, also they don't seem to last quite as long. I can feel a little shaping(?) on the rotor but it looks Ok.

Fwiw the rotor is a 183mm Floating Hope Sawtooth

Cheers
Carl

if you can feel that the rotor is worn then might be time to replace.

It is unlikely to explode horribly killing you and your family, but if it's causing pads to wear quicker then spending the 10-15 quid needed on a new rotor is probably worth it*

*call me paranoid and cynical but I always have a spare pair of rotors in whatever size I'm running at home in case I thump one on a rock while riding.

Thought as much.

Wish they were only £10-15. More like £30+

More like £30+

only if you by hope or floating ones...

There are cheaper alternatives that are just as effective
