Had a play on one yesterday and can say they feel good and have a very fat downtube.

I rather like the look of the Rose range. German, but not too Teutonic! Will be interesting to see how the brand develops over here.

I came over all klien, with the big fat down tube and internal cable routing.
It rode very well, but a very interesting choice of front rings, 42/27.
Quite a high BB and an on the bike feel.
