how have we got onto page 2 without pics?
I don't think they are all out in the wild yet. but agree pics would be good.
Not sure I can post a pic of mine, the rear rim is a hugo rim and the front is a dually... not sure I could stand the abuse....
Go for it Clobber.
I'll show restraint..
but my seatpost doesn't match my bars yet either....
The ridicule would be relentless and then there's the lawn...
I'd love to post a picture of mine but it got delivered to work today and I'm on holiday for another week, Doh!
Still it'll be the first time I've looked forward to getting back to work after a fortnight's holiday
but my seatpost doesn't match my bars yet either....
Blimey. Didnt realise it was that bad. Best not then. I dont have anything soft to wedge between my teeth either.
I've got to question your saddle choice MidlandTrailquestsGraham?
I originally got an ISM Adamo for a specific reason, http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/noseless-saddles-anybody-use-one-where-do-i-get-one
I've got used to them now and have got them on all my bikes.
Your rotors are slightly off centre too.
Does a Chris King fit? Fancy some bling
Yes - you just need to make sure you get the right one https://www.chrisking.com/product/nothreadset-tapered-3444mm/
I haz this new unopened headset available if anyone is interested (black)
How much you looking for adsh?
/\ if you prefer my email is bonzo(at)manx(dot)net
Mine arrived today, minus the rims, so I've emailed Sam and hopefully they'll be here soon.
It comes with single cable guides fitted and some loose triple guides, which I thought would be ideal for the Rohloff...
...except that...
...it's got weld on single guides on the left hand seat stay. ๐ฅ
Not a serious problem and I've obviously had to improvise on other frames, but I can't be the only person wanting to use a Rohloff, so it would have been nice to be able to run the two cables through proper guides.
I'm hoping mine will be waiting for me at home later. Very excited about installing the BB ๐
Mine arrived yesterday, but due to changes in circumstance and riding habits looks like mine will be going up for sale.
Shame as I love the colour (swift blue) and idea of 29+.
what size mike?
It's a large.
Cockadoodledoo!

Nice ๐
Home time in 5 mins so we will see if anything has arrived ๐
Nothing. Gutted ๐
well, as you know Simon, you were the very last person in the queue! Yours will ship Monday.
Hey Sam, while you're on line, I didn't get a head badge. Is it hidden somewhere in the box?
bugger/thank goodness. I'd be a med.
Myopic - apologies - I thought I'd been diligent in sticking them to everyone's frame as I put the correct fork in the box. I realised I missed one or two only after I sealed the box, so dropped them in (wrapped in some paper) in those cases. However in trying to get >50 frames shipped in a week it's possible I missed one altogether. If that's the case drop me an email and I'll post you one.
Hi Sam, I'm one of the few! Sending you email in next few minutes ๐
Sam, I'm having email problems, can you send me head badge? Email is Gerry McGuire
No drama and I wasn't whining Sam. Just love stroking a new steel frame ๐
Still can't decide silver or black :-\
Sadly I think I will need to sell mine. With a Puffin and Mukluk in the garage now and a load of other bikes, I really can't build this up. Large in Blue with Silver Dually rims and a brand new knard if anyone's interested
How much for just the rims and tyres please?
I'll start a for sale thread this morning, so as not to distract from this one
Looking to sell mine with bits. Full details in Classifieds but in brief; medium yellow with anything cage forks, rear wheel (northpaw rim), Acros headset (probably) and red front Hope hub. Everything (bar headset as still waiting for) is BNIB.
Frame arrived yesterday. Boshed the headset in with help from Captain Swavis ๐
Rides nicely but I normally take 6 months to form a full opinion. Its certainly a beautiful frame. It climbs fine - not as razor sharp as my only Ti29er but it was 2kg lighter and had skinnier tyres. It descends like a thug!! ๐
Very happy!
Looks nice Teacake, what ss gearing are you running on it? I was thinking of going 1 tooth larger on the back of mine compared to the normal 29er ss
Boggy - exactly, one tooth larger. I used to ride 32 x 19; now 32 x 20. Seem to climb the same as on the smaller wheel and is as spinny as before too! The real test will be the big climb tonight!
Cheers Teacake, that's what I thought. Don't mind spinny ๐
That is utterly repulsive. Quite a feat as the frame itself is lovely!
OMG what have you done to that ๐ฏ
Yeah, I'm thinking now I should have got some red Hope bore caps. That is utterly repulsive.
