Got 2, probably only used a dozen times, but no problems in the time that I've had them.

I have one that's had infrequent use for >10 years. With confidence from this I went back there to buy new transverse bars recently.

I have a mix of Thule and Halfords carriers on my roof, both second hand when brought 6+ years ago and both still going strong. Trips to the peaks, Dartmooor, France and various trail centers without issue.
