Anyone got any tips on how to fly proof their handlebars/brake levers when travelling long distances with the bike on the roof?
Just a case of carrier bags wrapped around them?
You could use clingfilm but it seems a bit wasteful. Just clean the bike off when you get there? It's only a bit of dead fly.
Seen loads of then in Aus. Especially on the road bikes. Mesh things.
Can't say I know where to get them or what they are called but I know they exist.
Wet cloth when you get to your destination?
Reminded me of one I spotted on Rose: http://www.rosebikes.co.uk/article/xtreme-bike-protector/aid:23712
no idea how well they fit mountain bikes though.
Can't the bike face backwards...
Or just reverse everywhere...
