Good chance I might be in the area to visit Rogate this weekend.ย  My last visit was nearly 5 years ago, and I remember it to be a good fun day out - has much changed?

If you last went pre Covid there is now a car park and sign in hut at the top, check their map. ย Otherwise as good as ever

Fair few updates in the last 5 years. Was there a car park when you went?

It's still a proper good fun day out...ย  so nothing has changed there.

The tracks are running a bit loose at the moment because of the sand and the dry conditions.

There was a carpark of sorts, and a gazebo to book in.ย  Remember it being sandy too!ย  Still sounds fun so hopefully I can make it work

Thanks for the replies!

Is there much to keep technical rather than jumpy riders happy?ย  The website suggests a few roll'able red and blue trails but I have no idea of scale... Is it an hour's fun or a whole afternoon's worth?

I'd say easily an afternoons worth, perhaps not 4 afternoons in a row but certainly enough for the odd day out. Short runs with a good mix of features.

Not been recently, but iirc the 3 blacks on the LH side of the hill looking from the top and coming out of the bomb hole were more tech with smaller drops rather than jumpy. Well there might have been some avoidable jumps at the bottom, but mostly some drops not jumps, and steeper turns on the top section. Far Beyond Ridden/ Enter Sandman/ Tunnel Vision etc. I used to lap Far Beyond Ridden a silly amount of times as there was always something to improve, or somewhere where I could carry a bit more speed, or a better line, or I would crash somewhere trying something and have to go back again and again. An itch I had to continually scratch.

But even if you are not jumpy, it's so progressive there, that you might just end up jumpy. Just a bit more each time. Try the table, get it right. Then a double...It's a very easy place to progress. Don't be intimidated by the awesome and highly skilled kids either...!

Have fun!

I'm physically intolerant to jumping and I found enough interesting tech to do over 1100m of climbing.

Brilliant place, lovely vibe.
