The threshold gate has stopped working on my Revs. Everything else seems ok, but I will be honest I don't really understand the inner workings. Are they easily fixed or dying?

I was wondering the same. The blue lever on my Revs no longer does anything. I was going to give the forks a strip down and see if that helps, but sounds like you have a different problem.
