I've not rode my specialized epic for a while. I just checked all the air pressure and set everything. When compressing the rear with my arm/body weight...the first few millimetres of travel make a little noise. Like a scratchy or hiss. Only very faint. So it will hiss when compressed (first few mill) and hiss once released and it returns.
Is it normal?

How squishy does it sound? There are reports on mtbr of it being a known issue with Epic shocks.
What model year is your epic?
