I've ordered a reverb 2012 for my large 2011 zesty I've been advise to buy a 420mm but my current post it a 350 and I'm not using that to its maximum ? Am I missing something or would a 380mm be ok or even a 355mm ( but only 100 mm travel on this option ) vs 125mm on the rest . I'm 5.11 tall thanks for any advice .
I got the longer one so more of it sticks in the frame - for a strength point of view. I thought they all moved up/down by the same amount so the point of the difference in length was for how much you need it to stick out of the frame by, not how much it goes up/down.
In my frame (Covert) I have it sticking up about 2 inches, then it can extend to it full height or squash down to its lowest level.
Make sure yours can extend to its full height and still feel right for riding. You need to be able to just push the button and know your saddle is at the right height, not fiddle about with it while riding.
