Hi all, I'm looking for some assistance/advice for my forks.
When I first got my revelation xx forks I had a LBS reduce the travel fom 150mm down to 140mm.

I have since got a new frame and had the same shop revert them back to 150mm travel. However I am getting no where near this travel from the forks. When I measure the fork stanchions they are only 14.5cm in length. My mate has the same forks and his stanchions measure just under 16cm in length.

Does anyone know why this would be? Could the LBS have done something wrong? I am thinking of sending them off to SRAM for a full service, but thought I would ask here before spending the cash!

Thanks, Iain.

Too much negative air?

Empty both +ve and -ve springs assuming you have dual air.

Then start again with setting them up, +ve first then -ve...

I had the same issue, recycled the air in both springs and it was sorted.

What conan said - spmetimes the floating piston gets "stuck" and that sorts it out

As mentioned above remove all air and then refill +ve first then -ve the chambers are different volumes and pressure volume ratios get messed up if filled the wrong way round.
If you still have issues it maybe that the air seals are leaking between chamber or into the lowers, which we can fix for you ๐Ÿ˜€
