Hi all. I'm After some advice pls. Very tempted by the deals at Merlin for U-turn Revs maxle forks - with discount would come in at £360.
I've read a couple of reports regarding these forks having issues, especially with the U-turn & having to be sent back to the distributor for repair. Ideally want these to be fit & forget. Hence any advice/experience relating to these would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Nim

Friend had a spot of bother with air leaking between chambers and it went back two or three times.

Mine has been fine, it might have a very slow leak, but I'm living with that.

I had some which went back 2x in the first couple of months. The second time probably sorted them as all internals were replaced, but to be honest I couldn't be bothered with it and just sold them with the RS service sheets so the buyer knew what had been done. Then I bought some coil Sektors.

exactly what Jamie said, Black box Team revs went back twice and got sold off one bike, the race ones got replaced three times and replaced em with Sektors last month

Did you guys have problems with the air seals as well then or were you talking about the U-turn mechanism like the OP suggested?

Had similar air leakage issues with a pair of pikes, then a pair of revs. Both friend's... But mine have been great. The u-turn lever all but seized up but the LBS mechanic sorted it in 5 minutes and its smooth as owt now. Its easy done yourself, I just happened to mention it to him and he did it there and then.

EDIT: Do you mean the u-turn lever or PopLoc? A lot of poploc levers had to go back for repair / replacement.

@chakaping

1st time MoCo assembly was replaced as the lockout was knackered.

2nd time all seals were replaced..due to air leak....which cheekily enough they wanted to charge me for.

Never really had a prob with the U-turn.
