I have some Rockshox Recon Gold TK forks on my bike. I've been looking into setting them up. I have set the sag ok at around 25% travel.

I am trying to adjust the rebound damping but the adjuster on the bottom of the right fork leg will only move about a 1/4 turn before it starts clicking. Is this correct or is there an issue with the damper adjuster?

I have seen somewhere online which says it has to be pushed in to be adjusted which results in the same 1/4 turn most.

Does the fork have the long black plastic rebound adjuster?

It should click in increments, 8 clicks or whatever.

From memory there is just 1/4 turn, more than that and your forcing it past the limit of adjustment.
The long black adjuster poopscoop referred to limits the amount of rotation.

It has a red adjuster on the bottom of the fork leg. Anything after the 1/4 turn it starts to click. The 1/4 turn itself is quite smooth. Doesn't feel like it makes much difference at either minimum or maximum rebound.

I used to have a RS 30 silver with the TK damper, is the rebound adjuster flat, sort of keyhandle shaped? Mine had four clicks of adjustment, so two extremes and two detents in between, so the clicking part might be the range where it adjusts?
