Do you expect to replace all/any o-rings on a normal service? I have a set of dust/oil seals and foam wipers, but no o-rings.
Have taken my Pikes apart as it's been far too long since I last did it. Have got the lowers off, and taken out all the old seals (which look ok, foam rings are knackered though). A couple of black rubber discs fell out the lowers whilst I was cleaning them out, guess they are bottoming-out bouncers? One is a fraction of a mm bigger than the other, but I guess the stantions are symmetrical so no reason why it should matter which way round they go? Can't remember which is which now anyway.
No got any circlip pliers so damper assembly will have to wait till next week. I guess I just remove, clean, inspect and replace?
Cheers!
Unless there's a problem with the fork, I don't bother changing the o-rings. Don't necessarily change the seals along as everything is looking fairly clean behind them. I guess I do more of an inspection and oil change service but most of the time this is more than sufficient...better than nothing.
