My forks are due a service, planning to change the seal kit, the last time I had a set of pikes serviced by TF tuned (different forks now) they fitted push ultra low friction seals, couldn't feel any difference really. I remember I few years ago when I had kashima fox forks the SKF low friction seals made a huge difference. more so than the kashima update to be fair.
Anyone tried push/skf/rockshox seals or any other brand? Does non standard oil I.e stendec etc make any difference.?
couldn't tell the difference between old manitou seals and the push seals TBH. IIRC they are the same price as the RS ones. I use stendec grease in our forks without any issue but the correct RS oil
tried and gave up trying to fit PUSH ones the stantions just wouldn't go back on cleanly. RS ones work perfectly and easiest to fit.
So just seen SKF do a black and a green 35mm seals for pikes, plush in the uk sell them (green) but online most American sites comment on the greens being ultra low friction and amazing with a pre lubricated foam seal. Any one tried them?
