Ok, so last year I 'serviced' my Tora 318 forks which as I did such a good job, lead to hydraulic lock out of the forks, all of the damping oil sat in the lower leg and some of it coming out the top cap under the blue lock out knob.

Got a new bike, so put the forks to the back of my mind.

Anyways, decided the 'service' the forks over the weekend and put them on the other halfs bike.

Got a service kit from TFT and replaced all of the o ring seals internally. Put the forks back together.

WHile turning them upside down to put the lowers on, oil was pouring out of the damper top cap. I noticed that the white plastic washer under the blue damper lock out knob was cracked.

Surely this white plastic washer isn't the only seal to stop oil coming out of the top cap.

Could I have FUBAR'd my forks last time I rode them?

Anyone know where I can get one of these washers, as there was nothing like it in the TFT service kit.

There's another seal inside the top of the motion control unit. Maybe it's that that's gone.

Take the unit out and unscrew the top of it. It's on a reverse thread.

You'll see the seal in there. It's a kind of stepped seal ('umbrella' seal?). You'll see where it's gone - part of it gets pushed upwards. No idea where you get them from - they aren't in the seal kit. Try calling TF Tuned. You can sometimes leave it out for a while and try and coax it back into shape, but this has never worked particularly well for me. Or replace it with something better.
