[#11076158]

I know that in the past Rockshox had a bit of a reputation for sending out new forks with next to no oil in them.

Is this still the case?

I've just had a new set of Pikes delivered and trying to decide whether to strip them and check before I fit them to the bike.

It doesn't take long and certainly wouldn't hurt from a piece of mind point of view. If you're comfortable doing it, why not?

Well I've got a bag of about 50 crush washers and a litre of Rockshox oil so I'll give them a once over.

With the current biblical downpours I don't think I'll be using the bike this weekend anyway 😄

Turns out it was well worth checking them.

It didn't look like much more than 5ml that came out of both fork legs combined rather than that 10ml in each leg!
