I have a RS Deluxe Ultimate on my Trek Rail 9. Just fiddling about with it yesterday / today there seems to be rebound damping / lock out but the only compression damping seems to be a blue rocker levet with + 0 - on it. Am I missing anything or is compresion ( bar lock out) preset?

Correct, just middle, a bit more, and a bit less.
