Rockshox 29 & 29+, are the plus the same fork with more clearance and is there any reason not to use a set with a normal 2.5 tyre?

Think the 29+ might be longer axle to crown so the bigger tyre doesn’t bind at full travel. I know my Yaris are labelled 29/27.5+.
Not sure if it will affect the way your bike handles or not. Would depend on how much extra length.

I'm 99% sure that for current forks (in the last year or so at least) there is just one model; no 29 / 29+. My Lyrik was spec'ed for 29+ use but is a standard 29er fork according to the Trailhead app:

https://trailhead.rockshox.com/en/specs/24t06042940

My Zeb is being used with a 2.5" tire but I could fit in a 3" one with no issues if I desired. RS just have loads of clearance.
