I've just noticed my Pike 454 forks have a "Gate" adjuster on top of the blue know on the right leg. What does this do? The Blue dial makes them dead hard which is good for climbing, but what about the "Gate" dial?
The forks are currently off the bike so I cant tell what it does.

Floodgate....basically, if the are 'locked out' ie full compression, the floodgate adjuster sets the level of 'hit' required before the 'lock out' is overidden and fork is active again iirc. Set and forget imo

yes have a play you can have near full lock out or compress it with your weight. Basically even if locked out on a descent you will still have normal forks above threshold..nice feature
