Anyone running these forks on their AM bike?
I can get a decent deal on a new set and I'm wondering what there like for AM/Alpine style riding
I've got some original lyrics.
Great forks, but heavy. If you can live with the weight going up (there's enough travel just to plough through stuff, but front wheel lifts/weelies are harder work than say Revs is the steps are bigger than a few inches) then they're far better than Rev's going down.
Love mine on the Pitch, would probably hate them on a hardtail.
Just fitted a pair of them last night on the Mega - not ridden them yet. Worth mentioning that the 170mm Solo Air's ones I got - came with the 160mm spacer/base plate in the spares bag.
Weight wise mine came in at 2155g.
The Lyrik U-turn coils I have been running weigh in at just under 2600g so fair chunk of weight saving.
The new ones are a bit lighter than the older ones and supposedly a fair bit better with the boxer Dh cartridge.
I want them for my Enduro , big climbs and pretty full on Dh descents .
I've got a yeti asr 5c for with a fox 32 float FIT rlc for other rides
Zangolin.
There the ones I'm planning one getting. I've seen them for 100€ cheaper than the white RC2L travel adjust ones.
Also I'm not a fan of adjustable travel forks. I can get a set from Germany for £565 posted so it seems like a good deal, and once I've sold my 36 float r's they'll owe me less than £300
I'd be interested to hear how you get on with them
Cheers
could you post a link to the site please?

That much!!!!!
I've got a 2-step air cartridge I could put in, but was under the impression they were arround the same weight.
At that weight difference it'd almost be worth upgrading.

I was surprised when I weighed them - they were 2009 U-T coil Lyriks with medium spring.
I have plenty of grease on the spring but even that would not add more than 50g. Newer versions should be a little lighter I guess due to not having the sleeve on the old style smaller diameter damper unit - although RS seem to not be offering any coil versions of the Lyrik for 2013. Also the newer style Maxle is a fair bit lighter.
