A friend is selling his bike as he needs the cash, which includes his Rock Shox Lyrik 2 Step Air U-turn forks.

They're silver and '08/09 and have been replaced twiced due to early problems with the originals so these are described as phase 2. They're immaculate and unused but it's hard finding a review of these forks with since Rock Shox sorted the problems out.

Thinking of putting them on a Heckler and would value any input!

Great forks for the Heckler, but two of my friends with them eventually converted to spring due to constant problems with reliability. Dont know anything about "phase two".
Airs ride plush with reasonable good compression damping ramping up well towards end stroke.

I've got a s/h set that seem reliable so far. They'd just come back from fishers for a warranty claim so should be ok.

They were a good price so I couldn't really turn them down. If they start playing up I'll stick a coil assembly in them.

As for performance, spot on. Almost as good as the coil totems I replaced, significantly lighter.

I'll probably get boring with this, but I bought an almost as-new used set from The Big Cheese, they left him working then blew up in the post. So reliable they weren't up to being put in a van. But they were updated and repaired on his warranty and seem good now.

I'll want to put a few miles on them before I judge but they're very nice forks. And if they blow up again they'll get coil uturned. Have to say though I wouldn't take them on a foreign holiday or similiar, I just wouldn't trust them enough, not yet anyway.
