Excellent ride from Rochdale to Cragg and Lee Quarry, having been to Lee twice before and missing Cragg what a fantastic sister Quarry, shame I have missed it before. The drag across the moor though aint fun.

Nice one, thanks for posting that. Don't suppose I could have the gpx file of the route? Email in profile. Ta!
I was up there yesterday and would have made it to Lee Quarry if it wasn't for this...
Caused by an over the handlebars moment when investigating how boggy the new link road is (it's being paved this week)
Still, I managed to get up to 28.9mph back down to Lane Head pedalling 1 leggedly!
Great Post BTW!

Grum - I'm hoping to head up there this weekend with different shoes, I'll log a the ride from Lane Head to Cragg and to the Lee Quarry Link. Not sure if I'll get chance to get to Lee.
If its getting paved should make the link so much easier to ride.
Please stay off our new linking track for the next two weeks or so we are busy trying to build it. Helicopter is shifting stone for it and each time someone takes no notice of our signs it can cause a delay which could get expensive and result in less trails being built elswhere in the area.
It will be worth the wait its going to be shaped up by guys that have just been working on a 4x track!
Was watching the helicopter working yesterday, mad bastards that go and stand underneath that hopper in winds like that! Very cool to watch 8)
Tony - I was at the first Sign that I fell off! ๐ I'll be steering well clear until its done as I don't want a repeat! ๐
Saw the helicopter from a distance on saturday looked awesome.
