Does it matter what carbon fork bung you use?

This is for my Planet-X Pro carbon forks. Do they all work they same? is there a minimum insert etc?

Cheers

they're all similar - main thing is you need to have at least 5mm of spacer above the stem clamp (lot of manufacturers void warranty if they think you haven't done this).

Internal diameters can vary sllightly, so make sure it's a good fit, but otherwise use what you want.

nice one, I'm guessing that in order to give a decent pull whilsts leaving the 5mm gap it might be worth getting a bung that runs a little deeper into the steerer.

Am I right in thinking that the bung will just slot in and expand when the cap is screwed in? or would it need a little more encouragement, similar to that of a star nut?
