In my never ending questions of late, wondering if road specific gloves have more padding for base of the thumb? My troy lees dont have any but spend a fair amount of time in the hoods and gets bit numb or even sore there. Also are roadie gloves any warmer than mtb gloves generally, my hands were in agony this morn.
Endura Deluge have a fair bit of padding but judging by reviews seem a bit hit and miss on the waterproofing (mine are fine). Might need a liner glove with them when hit gets under 5c though
I wear a pair of Specialized BG mitts with a pair of unlined Extremities gloves over the top in Winter
Seems to be a good combo for warmth and feel
My Endura Dexter windproofs are brilliant. Nicely padded in the right places (for me) for both road and mtb. Warm enough right down to about 2 degrees, at which point I put a very thin cheap Decathlon running glove underneath, and they're good for several degrees below - on the road bike. MTB they're fine without the liner no matter what. interestingly, they work well up to about 15C aswell, without getting too hot.
I have some Endura Deluge for when it gets wet, though I've not yet tried them. I got them on the basis of the Dexter being so good.
