Leaving the MTB's at home this year.
Will be doing the Swaledale circular (Castle Bolton, cake at Stu & Brenda's, along to Muker then back over to Hawes) and a ride up to the Tan Hill Tav is on the cards too.
Any other must do road rides you'd recommend?
Big tyres and low gears, so a bit of rough stuff's not out of the question.
Anything up to about 50 - 60 miles should be ok, given current fitness (none!).
Done quite a bit around there but any favourite local loops most welcome.

One of my favourites is Reeth - Tan Hill - down to Kirby Stephen - Mallerstang to the Moorcock, then back down Wensleydale via Askrigg, back over Redmire to Reeth, bout 52 miles. Dentdale and Garsdale are both lovely valleys , with some good climbs in and out of Dentdale.
