I've got a new frame on the way that has a PF30 bb. I know there will be doomsayers but I already have two frames with pf bbs and neither have had any issues.
My question is whether a road pf30 bb will fit (because there's more choice/better pricing) - road is a 68 shell with mtb being 73.
By my reckoning it's possible that the sleeve between the two cups may be too short to fit a mtb frame in which case I'll just not fit it (as I've gone on ht2 before) but other than that I can't see any issue. The sleeve doesn't ensure alignment and I've never been convinced that they actually help in keeping crap out of the bearings.
Thoughts?
