25.4mm handlebars seem hard to find. I'm looking for some which are wide (44cm +), with a compact drop, and a flattened section on the tops.
Any ideas?

Doubt you'll find one. Compact and flattened bars are a much newer trend then when 25.4 started to die out I'm afraid. unless you're still on quill stems I'd swap the stem and the worlds your lobster (sic)

They are for a tandem, so two new stems. I don't really 'need' new bars, they would be nice to have, but even harder to justify if I am to buy new stems as well.
