[#995353]

Had mtb wheels off Merlin before and been very happy with build quality and price.

Is there an equivalent shop for hand built road wheels?

Looking at Open Pro/105.

Thanks.

Friend of mine runs a wheelebuilding business, and can do quick turnaround and reasonable prices.

Email me if you want to know more.

Price isn't everything, but moving on.
Just buy a copy of The Comic and look at the ads.

I've had no probs with wheels (or any other orders) from Ribble, although they seem to have a less than perfect rep on the forums

Paul Hewitt every time. Superb wheels.

Ribble are cheap and generally okay, but not in PHs league.

DH have a terrible rep.

Give Harry Rowland a ring. He builds great wheels.

I did suggest going to his LBS, but apparently it's all about price. [shrugs]

Dave Hinde, Are you mad? He'll eat your babies!

Ask merlin, they've started doing some road stuff now. Do CRC do road wheels, I hear good things about their Mtb wheels.

Failing tha have a look at hope hoops, just bought out the road wheel sets and they look nicel.

The man that ourmanoopnarth is referring to would probably be this man:

Currently building my dad a set of touring wheels, will wait and see on quality but I expect them to be lovely.
