Needing to fit some new cables to a 7 year old 105 setup
Before I buy them, is there any benefit going for the more expensive ones or is the standard Shimano road kit perfectly good?
I didn't realise how bad they were until I got a new bike
£18 - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=19054
£12 - http://www.parker-international.co.uk/13586/Transfil-Shimano-No1-Road-Brake-Cable-Set.html
£10 - http://www.ukbikestore.co.uk/product/15/cabbc3bk/shimano-road--mtb-brake-cable-set---black.html
I've not seen anything better than std shimano, and plenty that's worse.
"stainless" is relative too...
EDIT and gear inners run more smoothly 😉
cheers
Yeah - I've always run the standard SP41 gear cables on my MTBs and it's faultless
Think I'll just go for the £10 option
