Hello all. I'm considering building up a road bike in the new year as a bit of a project but have no idea about sizing. I'm 6' 2" and ride 19" MTB's so roughly what size road frame should I look for? Seen a 55cm frame that interests me but would that size be any good?

You need to try out a frame really to see if it fits. But 55cm is too small. It would probably just about fit me & I am 5'8" (my bikes are 54cm)

Obviously the answer is "sit on a few and see what fits". Ignoring this, I would say a 55cm would be on the small side, a 58cm would seem closer. I'm 6'4" and ride a 60cm with lots of seatpost and a 120mm stem.

Thanks both, I'll try a few.

Shame 55cm is too small as there's a tidy retro frame on ebay I fancied. ๐Ÿ™

I'm just shy of 6'3" and ride a 58cm Whyte Suffolk, with the seatpost reasonably high (I have the '4' marker showing, and it counts down).
