Got a puncture out on a ride on my new road bike for the first time. Roadside replacement of tube not a problem but the pump I use for mountain bike couldn't get more than about 50/55psi - more than adequate for normal purpose, but pretty useless for a road bike.
What should I be using to get something sensible - 100 psi?
Lezyne. Get the big gun (can't remember what it's called, road drive lnog perhaps) if you don't mind fitting it to your frame. Or the small one if you want to put it in your pocket. You'll never bother with another pump again. 100psi with barely any effort.
These mini pump are great. Best one I have used by far
No idea it it is any good (although reviews on various sites are ok), but I was tempted by this for £5.99
Lezyne's Road Drive Mini ABS pump is a really superb quality little pump, which is skinny enough to get a decent pressure without needing muscles like a gorilla. The tube also interfaces with CO2 cylinders, though I'm not sure how. Astonishingly good quality though.
