OK, in a moment of madness I have decided to do a charity bike ride London to paris next year, no biggie for me as I have my MTB and a boardman road bike.
In an even bigger moment of madness one of my wife's cousins has decided he wants to do it too, at the moment he is a non cyclist with a budget of anout £250 for a bike to do it on, can anyone give any ideas of a suitable bike for him

either second hand, or if you have a Decathlon near you then get down there.
Or increase budget - assuming there's going to be some training miles going on, then bits will wear...

The giant fcr 4 is very cheap at winstanleys cycles if hes after a small (46.5)
I got the 2 for £430 well pleased!
