I'm looking at upgrading from my 9speed setup to 10-speed. The Microshift groupsets look decent value and get good reviews so might get one of those. It's clear I'll need a new cassette and chain but can I just get new chainrings for the front (I don't think I do but I've been wrong before).

Don't need new rings, the 9 speed ones will work.
Just need chain, cassette and RH shifter technically.

well in that case I don't even need a groupset I'd guess. Just hang onto the ultegra front mech, get a new rear, shifters, cassette and chain and done. Now to find a set from a reputable reseller.
