They have reinforced ends so you can use bar ends if that's your thing. Problem is, my bar end plugs won't fit in the smaller hole. Anyone got a solution? Are the Hope grip doctors small enough?

No problem. I had exactly the same thing and asked in my LBS if they do smaller ones - the solution is to 'trim' the plug down until it fits ! Easier than I thought, just don't get carried away !!
By the way (in true BLUE PETER style) - ask a grown up if you're not sure....
