haven't bought risers for a while and i'm trying to work out which riser bars to look at for my xc usage.

i don't understand this information which seems to come with the purchase.

Rise - 18mm or 25mm
9° back sweep, 4° up sweep

anyone got a diagram or good explanation for the dinosaur here??

Where did you get that info from?

I take it to mean the bars are available with 18 or 25mm rise (the end of the bars are 18 or 25mm higher than the middle), the bars are angled back towards you at 9 degrees from the clamp area on each side and they are not horizontal, but sweep up at 4 degrees from the clamp area on each side.

I think the 18 or 25mm rise means there are 2 variants of this bar.

Obviously, the rotation of the bars in relation to the stem will have a bearing on those numbers.
