Looking at rebuilding my wheels, recommend me some rims, spokes and nipples that will handle a lot of abuse (105kg on an Orange 5) and be suitable for running ghetto (or just plain tubeless) with 2.3 tyres, alternatively for ease recommend some wheels built by someone else that fulfill the above. Not looking at breaking the bank but not overly concerned with budget. Would be nice if the above were quite light too.
Well, my answer to this would always be Stans Flow rims with DT comp spokes. However, if you want a really nice wheelset, consider the Hope Hoops and for that extra special touch, Roger M @ wheelpro will give them a once over. The wheel set is only about £100 more than the cost of the rims!
Bit of a no brainer really.
Onza - Hope Hoops with the DT 5.1 rims? Order them from wheelpro to get the Roger M magic touch?
You can get the Hope Hoops from Roger with the Flow rims. I'm thinking of getting a set for the wife's bike.
