Anyone painted a rigid fork to give the illusion of it being a susp fork?

thoughts?

I think Manitou did it with their elastomer versions years ago.

why would you want to? it sounds like my strika circa 1980 which had rigid forks done up to look like triple clamps

EDIT: yes, I know now that the "fork boot" bit is in the wrong place but I didn't when I was 7

My old ones had an Ohlins sticker on one leg and a TF Tuned one on the other. It amused me and nobody else, apparently.

northwind, exactly.
I put a rockshox sticker on the rubber damper on the brompton. just my personal joke.

Seeming as I'm painting the fork anyway, I thought a rs1 paintjob would be amusing/incredibly sad.
