You'd think, but £440 for a heavy (to me) frame, no matter how pretty/nice to ride, sticks in my craw, esp when a Scandal is ~£200..though any flat bar 29er seems way long for drops.

Not all 29ers are equal. There's more to it than just big wheels: niner have something special going on. N
Or save a few quid and get the salsa elmmarichi.
