At the moment I have flat pedals on 4 of my general use bikes. Last night I noticed the anodizing was worn noticeably more on both sides of the right pedal?!?!??

I make a conscious effort to be as equal as possible with my power output on either leg. Saddle heights are correct and the bars are straight so I’m looking for what could cause this.

Not bothered about the pedals themselves, more interested in my pedaling technique / behavior , knackering my hips/knees ec.

Do you put your right foot down when you stop? Consequently meaning you're then kicking over your right pedal when you start again. I wear right cleats on the road far quicker for that exact reason.

I reckon no matter how hard you try to use both feet equally, you'll always favour one foot over the other. The wear won't just come from pedalling, you may move your right foot around more for balance etc.

Sounds silly but my usual loop has mostly right hand corners so I shift weight to that side.
I guess the occasional foot down moment / muddy shoe could help the right to look more worn.

My knees and hips feel fine so nothing medial to worry about.

Edit- yes I do stop with the right foot . Good point 🙂

That's what it is. The gritty sole of your shoes never touches anything but the surfaces of your left pedal, whereas every time you stop you're scuffing your right pedal.
