Anyone part of a club or group that ride on the Mendips. Just moved to the area and would be great to hook up with people and get to know the trails.

Not been out with them for a few years, but the Mad Cows still ride from The Crown pub in Churchill around 6pm every Thursday, used to be a nice bunch of guys who put on a good ride.

There's some flyers on the wall of the Swan Inn in Rowberrow for a weeknight ride - don't think it was the Mad Cows though and can't remember what night either!

Good pub though, and seem pretty happy with people parking up there and it's a good place to start riding from.

It's the Shipham group that ride from the Swan: clicky

Feel free to show up and introduce yourself, 8pm Thursdays, beers afterwards.

If you've just moved to the area make sure you check out 'Bad Ass Bikes' at the bottom of Burrington Coombe and acquaint yourself with the owner Rob (AKA Box) and the boys. Great bunch who run an excellent workshop. They will know lots of groups that ride up there and might still have copies of the Mendip AONB Fat Tyre pamphlets - that detail three CTC graded trails.
