I live in Harrow, work in Pinner and have heard rumors through friends of friends that there is some good(ish) riding around Ruislip, Denham and up towards Watford. I haven't been living in the area long but fancy getting to know the local tracks as Swinley and Woburn are a bit too far away for evenings. If anyone has any GPS routes or fancies showing me around I'd be very grateful. I ride a lot of DH and XC alike and would love to know what's good around here. I did go for an explore once around Ruislip common but in nearly two hours on the bike I never found another bike track or anything that looked like a decent trail ๐Ÿ™

Howdy Brugles - I live up in Northwood and commute over Ruislip Woods and they are reasonably ok for rides. There are some small XC routes, but no real DH anywhere. There is also routes out into Denham and also out into Bucks. There is a group ride out from the Specialized shop in Ruislip every so often, led by the manager, Paul. These are really good, often making use of Rusilip Woods, and often going further afield. In addition, the West Drayton MBC organise events in the area (like the night race the other night) which are quite good fun!
Depends on how fast you go, but I can show you around the woods sometime... I will be out this friday (during the morning) if you are around, if not, during the following weekend... Im not the fastest, but do enjoy riding around the woods.
If you email me I can send you some links to some routes I have mapped online - and my garmin routes as well...?

Whippendell woods in watford are worth a ride around, with some good singletrack and plenty of easy short dh tracks. It also normally stays quite fun to ride in the winter. I'd be happy to show you round one evening, if it wasnt so bloody dark now. ๐Ÿ™

There are also plenty of options for longer xc rides if you fancy exploring round chipperfield, chorleywood etc.

Copse, Park and Mad Bess woods around the Lido. Nothing too technical but usually quiet and lots of paths through those - can get muddy though.

Bucks Off-road Sportive map is here, heads off from Denham and goes north and west of there:
