Could be tempted to come alon and even show you round. Providing you don't need to blast down every descent at warp factor quick (currently injured), but fine if I don't hammer too hard.

Email me if you fancy meeting up. I usually start from Westcott.

It's Deliverance you'll be wanting then!

Seriously though, if DH is really your bag then I would suggest that Pitch Hill, a bit further West might actually more suitable. Park up at Peaslake village and take the long drag up from the car park. There's quite a few nice descents in that area.

You should be able to find a few like-minded souls in the area of the village to point you in the right direction if you can't find what you are looking for.

Do you meet the usual STW criteria of driving an audi and being middle aged and over biked or are you 15 and super gnarrrrrrr?

Just like to know what I'd be letting myself in for if I were to offer to show you around on monday.

Presume you're not taking full DH bikes to Pitch though? Plenty of fun stuff and so jumps and gaps that are pretty full on by anyone's standards but not DH bike territory...

You'll prob be disappointed with Surrey Hills in general then. Despite what the haters say, it's got some very, very good singletrack riding if you know where to look but it's not DH bike territory. Sure, you can play on the odd trail here and there, but most are more suited to normal trail bikes and the best stuff needs to be linked with some pedalling. I race DH but have never contemplated taking my DH bike to Pitch/Leith etc

Rotate and Hindhead aren't exactly DH bike territory either. I'd go as far to say the riding on the Surrey hills has as challenging riding as either those locations. Jumps excluded.

Each to their own but my DH rig comes to Rogate with me (a small, compact push-up venue) and my xc bike comes with me to Surrey Hills (well spaced, flowing singletrack loveliness). Never even thought about taking a DH bike to Surrey hills or a xc bike to Rogate...!
