I have the option of some accommodation in a place called Calahonda (between Malaga and Marbella) in early April. I'm swithering about just taking Easyjet over there and hiring a car, then doing various days cycling. Thing is, I'm unsure whether a road bike or MTB would be best. I guess I could maybe even take one of my own and then hire the other type over there.

Road days, I'd be looking for 100-160km loops. Mountain biking would be more about scenery and solitude than gnarliness.

I'm hoping someone is familiar enough with the area to help me to a decision.

We are just 5 minutes drive from your place in Calahonda. Ring us on (0034) 616295251 when you are in Spain. We have some stunning singletrack riding here.

We have good bikes if you don´t want to bring your own.
