[Closed] riding in london parks

Cycling through Hyde park yesterday evening, after dark, riding along a 'NO CYCLING' path. A policeman waved his torch at me, and said, "I could fine you £200 - consider this a friendly warning."

I've seen policemen cycling all over the park, on all types of paths, so I asked him about this. He explained that policemen can cycle on all paths because 'they've had training'. Any policemen on here who can elaborate on this, or explain how, with policies such as this, the Metropolitan Police can ever hope to increase their public support?

This boils my piss. Pathetic people. It's interesting that they're allowed to do it because they've "had training". I always assumed it was because they "were breathtaking arrogant". 😐

The police don't make the regulations on who can cycle where in the Royal Parks. Just be grateful he didn't book you.

Waving his torch indeed!!! Not the first Police Dogger, and probably not the last.
