I was wondering if it possible to park in Kentmere. Don't suppose anyone is riding around there tomorrow morning and I could tag along?

Cheers
Rich

not much space to park in kentmere, unless your really really early and park at the church. Better off parking in staveley, plenty of room to park and food and a pint at the finish.

+1 for parking at Staveley. Big car park, easier access, bike shop (with free shower + changing), brewery and cafe there. The shop also runs a chargeable bike wash.

It also means you can finish on the Sawmill Cottage descent HERE or the Staveley Head Fell descent HERE (depending on which side of the valley you're riding) with a nice downhill mile or so on the road back to Staveley.

Rich, what time you going to be in Kentmere/Staveley? I'm going there for about 9am for a 15-20 mile ride. Good ups and great downs.

Best parking in Staveley, behind Wheelbase.

Paul

Thanks for the advice all. Paul, kind offer but doubt I'll get there before 10am.

On occasions when I've been there in the past one of the farmers has opened up a field for car parking (charged) It may be worth driving into Kentmere to check it out and heading back if you're not in luck.
