[Closed] Riding between Wakefield and Northampton?

Morning all.

A friend of mine has a course in Wakefield towards the end of November so will be coming down from bonnie wee Scotland.

I live in Northampton and wouldn't mind meeting up for a weekend's riding with him (drive up Saturday morning, stay overnight and drive back Sunday evening).

We need to find somewhere to ride that I can drive to on a Saturday morning probably a max of 3 hrs (so Lakes are out, as are the boarders).

What is Gisburn Forest and Lee Quarry like? We are probably looking for trail centre type locations so that we have a defined route.

Are there any trial centres futher south (other than Cannock), or any other riding we should check out?
