I went to college in Telford, the Wrekin is an nice way to spend a couple of hours with a pint in Little Wenlock on the way back.

Cheers,
Jamie

There's a fun little jump park in the Ercall here: https://maps.google.com/?ll=52.686015,-2.527564&spn=0.005593,0.011576&t=h&z=17

Then it's just a short ride to the base of the Wrekin. There's loads of options from here.

Take the main walkers path up, it flattens out after a right hand bend, the track then forks; right upto the halfway house, left to go round the Wrekin.
If you wimp out of the climb and take the left path then just keep on taking right hand forks. You'll end up back at the base of the walkers path. This is a pretty fun undulating track; watch out for deer!
If you take the right fork, keep on climbing to the trig point, there's then loads of STEEP downhill tracks like this one: http://www.pinkbike.com/video/242829/

If you do climb to the top of the Wrekin, please avoid coming back down the walkers path!

Can you make it to Ironbridge??

Some pretty meaty forests and trails the valley and the old railway line to Bridgenorth or take a ride out through the old quarries behind an estate called Woodside up into Rough Park and on to Little Dawley etc.

Bikebouy; I would love to find these meaty forests and trails of which you speak; maybe a ride is in order?
